The Town of Wellesley is located between the town of Dedham and Needham, MA and is 18 miles west of the city of Boston. The Wellesley is bordered by Newton to the east, Weston to the north, by Needham and Dover to the south and on the west by Natick.

The town has many historic neighborhoods, which were developed in the late 1860s including a range of cottage homes to larger estates. However, the town has had considerable commercial development over the year including the towns center shopping and business centers which were redone in 2006 and house many staple conveniences including supermarkets, retail stores, cafes, and restaurants, both local and national brands. Wellesley is home to the headquarters of many local, national and global businesses.

Wellesley is noted for its prestigious colleges, well funded high schools and township, and a well-organized town government. U.S. News and World Reports ranked the town as the second most educated in the country as well as a great place to live.

Transportation
Wellesley has had a history of being a pioneer in providing train services, and today operates with the MBTA that provides 17 daily inbound trains from Boston, MA and outbound trains to Framingham, MA providing a convenient and easy access rout for commuters. There are three main stations Wellesley Hills, Wellesley Farms, and Wellesley Square. Elderly and disabled “door to door” services are available to those, which need assistance. The nearest airport is Boston Logan International Airport conveniently 18 miles from the town’s center.  Wellesley is located off of both route 9 and 128 creating easy commute access into Boston and around the state. 

Parking
Office parking in Wellesley varies. For an annual parking pass tends to cost $480.00 for residences and $960.00 for non-residences. On street parking is less convenient as a parking permit maybe required. Most on street parking is metered for those without a permit. Transportation and commuter parking lots are found in the town geographical regions of Tailby, Hills, Cameron, and Farms and tend to cost $3.00 for residences and $4.50 for non-residences. Many of Wellesley’s office and industrial compounds parking is provided.
