Adaptive reuse surged in 2024, with 14 Class B/C office properties (681,000 sq. ft.) approved for conversion, mainly into 528 residential units across key Boston neighborhoods. One property will become a hotel, another a Suffolk University dorm. The city’s tax credit pilot extension (through 2025) is expected to fuel further projects.
